Callahan's First Birthday!

I know I have been horrible about posting blogs..ugh. Sorry everyone! This is pretty much for Dan's family who live far away and have never met Callahan..I like to keep you guys posted on everything..I have honestly just forgot that I had a blog! :( So anyway callahan turned 1 yesterday! We had his birthday party on Sunday and went out last night for dinner with some family and his cousin who also had a birthday. So it was a lot of fun.. Busy, busy!

I have been doing bad with the blog I know..Everyone seems to be so busy lately..I am so sick of winter! I just can't wait until spring is here I would rather walk around in a foot of mud rather than a foot of snow! Callahan is doing great..he is getting big! He is mister attitude..soooo dramatic! He can be pretty fresh sometimes but otherwise im pretty lucky cause he is a very good baby. Here are some silly photos from the past couple of weeks..

Callahan is really growing..it seems like he has hit a lot of milestones since he turned 6 months old. He has two teeth (bottom) He is crawling..(he uses his arms and pulls his body around..and now is almost up on his knees) He is making all sorts of noises and he likes to use his d's and m's..so you often here him saying mommy and daddy or da da..(not that he knows it) lol..but it's so cute to hear. He is doing swiming lessons now as you can see in the video below he absolutly loves it! He likes to splash his hands in the water so that it splashes up onto mommy and daddy. He is becoming an animal! His new thing is that when he gets really mad or aggrivated he will grunt errrrr for a long time. It's kinda cute..lol but can be very loud at times. He loves to SCREAM very loud! We also found out what his factor level is. For people with Hemophilia have a factor level (which means how much precentage of factor is in their body) 1% being the worst! (most severe) 10% being the best (mild) My dad is at 5% which is considered moderate. Because it is a inherited disease it is 8 out of 10 times opt to be the same as the other family memebers. (They were guessing Callahan would be anywhere between 4% to 6%) Unfourtnetly he is at 2% which is def. not where we want it. They are hopeful that it will go up by the time he is one years old but they usually find that it is what it is when tested at 6 months. So we will hope and pray that it will go up.

We had a great christmas! Callahan got his first tooth in on Christmas Eve! It seems like he has been doing everything these past couple weeks. He did so great opening his gifts! he got a little tired towards the end. It's hard to imagine how Christmas was before him. Today is dan's birthday the big 21! So we got a cake and some gifts for tonight..Not so sure when we get to go out and have a few drinks I have yet to do that and I turned 21 in April. Hope everyone has a wonderful New years!

Callahan now shakes his head no. At first we just thought he was copying us..but as you can see in the second part of the video my dad asks him if he wants to come and Callahan shakes his head no. He actually knows what it means..It is so cute! He is getting too big! Also are some pictures of him playing with his new helmet on..I think he looks cute! :)

Hemophilia Christmas Party..

The Hemophilia Association of Maine (Callahan's Hemotoligist) put on a Christmas Party every year, to meet families and other children who have Hemophilia or other bleeding disorders. I decided to take Callahan..Dan had to work so my mom and dad went with us. This was the first year out of like 20 invites that my dad actually went. Everyone was very nice and we had a lot of fun. They had crafts and we played bingo..we had pizza and then Santa Claus came for a visit! Callahan loves his Santa!! He got a really nice gift and he opened it really well actually. I think Christmas will be fun this year..Here are some Pictures from the party and him playing with his new toy!

Callahan meets Santa!

Me and my mom took Callahan to the mall Saturday and Santa Was there!..And the line wasn't too long which is always a plus! So we decided to get his picture taken! I was a little nervous because I thought he would cry. HE LOVED HIM! He was laughing and talking to Santa. He was pulling Santa's beard (which was real..oops) He was just having a good ol' time. Santa held him for a long time too. We got two pictures to choose from and in both he was smiling but this one was cute because he was smiling at Santa! :)
